laptops

Our department maintains the following laptops that may be requested for use in UC Irvine Extension lecture courses:

All laptops have the following standard software: Windows XP Professional, Microsoft Office 2003 Professional (Access, Excel, Powerpoint, Word), a web browser, and basic utilities software (FTP, unzip, telnet, etc.) We have USB ports on all laptops.

User installation, modification, or removal of software is not allowed. Contact us regarding any special needs.

The following optional equipment must be specifically requested:

Our laptops do not come with floppy drives. If you require one, please specify when you reserve the laptop.

To reserve equipment for your class, please contact your course planner 4 to 8 weeks before your class starts. Equipment is assigned on a first come, first served basis so please reserve yours as early as possible.

Data projectors and other non-computer-related equipment (maintained by Event & Facilities Management) may also be ordered for your class. Please contact your course planners.
